I've bought bullion and the occasional few mid-grade US collector coins (only $20 coins) for the last ten years, and had a few anxious moments waiting for product to arrive due to dealers outright lying or just over-promising their ability to deliver(usually more lies). I'm glad i finally found American Gold! AGE has been around for longer than most of these other dealers (14 years, i think), and the owner is a PNG (professional numismatic guild?) member, which is the top exclusive invitation-only professional organization of metals & coin dealers. They have a code of conduct, and it shows in the way they treat customers. My rep there said he had been there almost six years and was still one of the "newbies" there which gives me a lot of confidence that they are in this field for the long haul.

I ordered gold maple leaves and some "investor specials" (mint condition Double Eagles from late 1800s). My order was delivered in 4 days! Also they accept checks and ACH "billpay" payments, not just wires, so that is convenient and cheaper than a wire.

All these stories of waiting 4-6 weeks for product from some dealers (and getting lied to in the meantime) ought to be enough to convince people to stay away from ANY dealer who can't make their shipping commitments. AGE keeps their promises.
