Having issues with my order

Well I got royally hosed by GoldMart last time and it took 40 days from check clearing to receive my silver. I then went to a local dealer and it was great. With inventories low, I tried JMBullion. Well my order was 90% missing when received. I jumped through all the hoops, pictures, USPS claim, police report and send the information to their support team.

So far they have been really responsive, but have not shipped the replacements yet. So, they are saying all the right stuff, but my order was cleared to ship on 12/9/2014 and it is 12/12/2014 (Friday) without a shipping tracking #.

My original ship time was as expected, just dealing with stolen goods is a pain in the you know what? I wonder how often stuff is stolen, versus not shipped on purpose. I did see a picture of what was supposed to be my order, but man it would be nice if something went smooth one time.

I will revise my review once I receive my complete order.

It isn't simple or easy to be their customer

I ordered from them last year over the phone and mailed a check to them. This took an unacceptable amount of time to complete, made worse by the fact that they had run short of the product I ordered between when I ordered it and when my check arrived. But they did fill my order in as timely a manner as they could.

the next time I ordered from them, I resolved to use a Debit card to facilitate a timely completion. Unfortunately, they use a 3rd party security firm to complete this type of order. This company asked me to provide too much information; information that could be use to steal my ID, Because I was not made aware of this from the start of involvement and because I could not research who this 3rd party was and how secure they would keep my info, I chose to stop dealing with this company.

Some effeminate snide named Alexander is whom I spoke with regarding an issue with my order. He was not interested in resolving the matter, couldn't wait to get me off the phone, and move on to other things not related to helping a "customer". I had recently switched from APMEX to JMBullion due to the Free Shipping, but JMBullion management & ownership can thank Alexander for my switch back to APMEX. A Positive Customer Service experience is worth paying a little extra in shipping.

The order was cancelled after few days only because next day the gold prices increased and they sent an email saying

"We are unable to complete your transaction at this time. As a safe guard to our customers, we have a policy of not completing credit card orders in “high risk areas” due to a high number of fraudulent purchase attempts in your location. We do apologize for the inconvenience, but do have an obligation to protect our customers from fraud. Your funds should reappear back on your credit card within 48 hours. Alternatively, we invite you to explore purchasing by paper check or bank wire. For any questions, please contact us by phone, live chat, or email."

It is highly unprofessional and unethical. I have bought gold from my credit card with APMEX and never had any issues. APMEX is highly professional and they send all the order very next business day. I would recommend APMEX and never recommend J M bullion to any one also I will never buy any product in future from them.

Although this only the second time I have purchased silver bullion, I am confident I will go no where else.
JMbullion was the most honest, informative, professional company ive had the pleasure of dealing with in a long time.
I was most impressed by the fast free shipping. I live on the east coast and had my bars in hand in 3 days.
Stay away from dealers using washed up actors and progressive (often wrong) economists to promote there products.
You will find their prices are way higher than jm and other honest dealers.

I have ordered twice from JM Bullion. The products were shipped and received promptly after my payments cleared. My bank made a mistake on the second wire order and the funds did not go through for 6 days. JM kept in touch and honored the price. I will certainly be ordering from them again.

Inadequate JM BUllion charging system

Tried repeatedly today (10 Nov 2014) to order coins. However, I "told" multiple times via JM Bullion's system that my credit card company refused my charge. My attempted purchases/charges show as pending at my credit card company, and I received text alerts that the charge was set up as pending. I checked online, and the attempted purchased posted as pending. I talked with my credit card company reps twice and both times they told me the charges came through, and that the charges were/are valid. This is my fourth time to order since July; and this is not the first time having this problem with JM Bullion. This is not my idea of fun. Will look elsewhere for a company that has a system that works.

We use a third party authorization system which prevents these from going through; therefore, we never physically take possession of the funds. There is also the option of paying with a paper check or bank wire and the order should be accepted just fine.

I've placed several orders with JM Bullion and at this point, I'm very pleased. They have a good selection of products and very competitive pricing. The free shipping puts them over the top for me. I like to pay by check. It takes longer to receive my orders but the savings is worth it to me. Additionally, the orders always arrive within a two of days after shipping. So far, the products have been in excellent condition. I'm very happy the the coins have not been covered with dents and dings and that packaging appears to be done with care. I will continue to purchase from them

I've placed several orders with JM Bullion and at this point, I'm very pleased. They have a good selection of products and very competitive pricing. The free shipping puts them over the top for me. I like to pay by check. It takes longer to receive my orders but the savings is worth it to me. Additionally, the orders always arrive within a two of days after shipping. So far, the products have been in excellent condition. I'm very happy the the coins have not been covered with dents and dings and that packaging appears to be done with care. Hate to leave negative feedback as most everyone only complains when something bad occurs, and the positive reviews seem paid or written by employees...Nonetheless, I gave JM Bullion EVERY opportunity to make a bad experience right - even waiting a full month before writing anything that might deter another from purchasing.
People, just consider yourself warned. When something goes wrong with a purchase IT IS UP TO YOU to do ALL the legwork, make the calls, wait in lines, file police reports...EVERYTHING! This company SIMPLY DOES NOT CARE. It doesn't matter if you have a full work schedule or what your predisposition is - IF you want to get your product, prepare to do all the work.

It wouldn't bother me as bad IF they were just upfront about the process. However, after you jump through one of their hoops, be aware they WILL have plenty MORE. If you have the time to wait on the phone hoping to reach someone - be prepared to WAIT, expect to anticipate your calling position being updated frequently, then as series of clicks followed by either a return to the back of the line or a disconnect! If you are persistent and have time to kill, expect robotic cracker jack box answers. Again, this business is counting (I presume) on sheer volume to stay afloat as it was made abundantly clear they couldn't care less about individuals.

Lastly, just beware folks....trying to save you the hassle I had to deal with. A proper search will yield many many other online bullion dealers who are just as inexpensive, but actually prefer to keep customers coming back - and offer real support in lieu of a mishap. Do yourself a favor and avoid JMBULLION AT ALL COST!! Totally NOT worth it. And again, they were given EVERY opportunity to make it right. They proved robotic and careless in every aspect. Hope this helps a few who are smart enough to research PRIOR to making that purchase.

Yes, I wished that shipping was a little faster but please remember that shipping is "FREE" and if you are like me....I write a check to get the best price that I can.....and that check must clear before they can send your order. I buy small amounts every month as a small saving ....as a hedge against a market crash or something that I can pass on to my family when I do pass. I do not do it to "MAKE MONEY". I do however enjoy the beauty of the coins. JMs 100 dollar order amount requirement is the lowest that I know of for free shipping. Have patience and be rewarded when the small box does get to your home...thanks .

I made an online purchase with JM Bullion and a week later I received an automatic notification that I had received my order, which I had not. I checked online with UPS.com which showed the tracking number on the package had not yet been picked up by UPS. I called JMB Customer Service and I spoke with Kathy. She investigated the problem and called me back within 24 hours to tell me that one of the products I had ordered was not available and asked if I would like to substitute another item. I chose the items I wished to substitute and they came out to be a little over the value of my original order. Kathy gave me a customer service discount and processed my order.

Due to my busy schedule, Kathy and I played phone tag several times, but she was very committed in reaching me. Kathy sent me an email to let me know when my order was packed and ready for shipping.

Kathy is a high quality worker who is a huge asset to JMB. She went above and beyond the call of duty to apologize for delays and to accommodate me. I was surprised to receive that final email on a Sunday when the business is closed. It is very difficult to find such quality people nowadays while our society is being run by a “me generation”.

This was not my first experience with JMB and all other experiences have been A+ with no delays or inventory problems.

I worked in the retail industry for over 25 years and I recognize the challenges associated with customer service. JMB prices have always surpassed other retailers, and to add such high quality customer service makes them a leader in the industry. I will continue to use JM Bullion for my purchasing needs and I recommend JMB to others.

Misleading. And Slowwwwww

I hate giving 1 star reviews. In many cases, its unfair.
I was REALLY hoping that with the mixed reviews i found online, I would have a positive experience and be able to order from them with regularity.
Mainly because 'Free Shipping' is quite a nice perk.
Other than that, i have no loyalties to any particular company as of yet. They're all selling the same thing.
However.....their banner ads state (and I quote) "Orders Ship within 24 hours". Yes, i have a screen capture of that if necessary.
Since i paid by check I understand if they hold the check for the agreed upon time period. Thats not when the clock starts ticking.
But when SEVERAL DAYS have elapsed after i receive their confirmation email and no contact, no confirmation of shipping is received, i begin to worry.
There ARE some scams and illegitimate companies out there selling things on the internet and never delivering....so:
I call. No answer.
I call back. Call dropped.
I call again, put on hold and finally i'm talking to a live person (I like that)
Excuse, excuse - including "Oh, i see you ordered some Silver Leafs. We are waiting on those."
So, i ask you, how in the world can one fulfill "Orders Ship within 24 hours" if you don't HAVE the stuff?
So, by the end of the next business day, i get my second confirmation email.
They have "generated a shipping label".
Which, i find out, isn't the same as actually shipping my stuff.
And the UPS tracking code doesn't work because 3 days later, UPS emails me and states "WHEN the Parcel arrives at our facility, we will provide you with tracking information" (capitalization mine)
So, what JMBullion was doing was stalling, giving me the 'speech' to buy some time.

I would respect a straight-forward answer and some communication a lot more.

However, some other reviewers have stated that this is a small company, run by a few people, and i guess everyone has to play several roles.

I can appreciate that a small company goes through some growing pains.
Cutting corners in the customer service area, and not being upfront with those who spend thousands of dollars on product is a sure way of losing customers who are giving them a shot.

I REALLY had hoped that this would be a positive experience, as i believe they have better prices (and free shipping) than the competition that I have seen thus far.

However, I get a little nervous when good money is spent and a business plays games to buy time.
I have still not received my product.
I am really hoping that I receive my purchase.
I am more than a little worried that i may not.

If the review had an area for "Price" or "Shipping Price" or something like that, i would have given them higher ratings, as they deserve a fair rating for the services they offer.
However, the only areas for which there are stars, are the exact areas they perform so poorly.

JMBULLION - Please consider how your service impacts those who are truly interested in investing in PM's. Free shipping is a nice perk, but not a replacement for professional business ethics.
(Also, i would not have given you a public rating if i could have gotten satisfaction privately)

INVESTORS - Look at how MANY people have had poor experiences with JMBullion and ask yourself if it's worth it.

Poor Customer Service/Order history

This is my first experience with JM Bullion and I may not go back to them again.

I placed the order a week ago.My credit has been immediately charged,but so far no tracking information.

They state orders ship within five business days after payment is received. Emailed Friday (5th business day) and was told my order would ship Monday. Called Monday and was told the order would ship Tuesday or Wednesday, as they were overly busy. The order shipped Friday.
They state: ".......exceptional customer service are hallmarks of JM Bullion's business model".
No, your customer service is terrible, and furthermore to state that you ship quickly is not only a lie but incredibly misleading. To have your CSRs tell clients that their orders will ship on a specific day and then not ship on that day is a total travesty.

Buy elsewhere.

I called from my current International location 3 times today. 4 times I was put back into your phone cue after reaching customer position #1 and finally spoke to Robert after 45 minutes. He said he would transfer me to Billing and I received a voicemail. I am not impressed with their customer care or rather the lack thereof. Since it is impossible to speak with a live representative, I am trying another message. They threaten to charge your backup credit card if your check is not received and yet they don't respond to calls or messages about order problems. I gave up on reaching a live person with JM Bullion. I am a very disappointed customer. I was a repeat customer.

This is my 2nd order with JM. Both times have been very smooth; quick and easy ordering, very responsive and helpful customer service, and received both orders in a very timely fashion. My orders are what I'd consider a moderate amount, enough to blow a gasket if something were to have gone wrong. Will never use another dealer, JM all the way.

I've made several orders in the past. The product was always good but shipping was lagging. Recently, I made two separate orders, product was excellent but this time shipping was fast! Judging by my experience and other recent posts, It seems that JM is in full swing. I like this company and hope they keep it up However, I would like to see some decent sales on 1 oz gold coins though.

Over a dozen orders in 2014 with no complications. I must admit that I became a bit nervous this time when I opened the box and saw the heavy silver items but could not find the gold coins. They had over wrapped them in bubble wrap and I had to really search for them.

Nervous ...YES Skeptical...YES Afraid of scams...YES First time buyer and the anxiety of wondering if your going to get ripped off was always creeping in to the first purchase of a precious metal... DON'T BE .... Their staff on the phones dispelled any concern especially when I sent the wire transfer and forgot to attach my order number... So reassuring and pleasant to talk to made me feel like talking to family... Product was shipped extremely fast with excellent tracking... So pleased with JM Bullion I placed my second order without hesitation... OH ... The packaging was excellent and the product was beautiful... Thanks to everyone at JM Bullion...
