I have been a customer since 2014. No more. Their service is terrible. Will never use them again.

Item paid for at least 6 weeks back. they said shipped last week. it is nowhere around. Customer service yet to respond. Their prices are not the best.

This is probably the worst bullion and coin company I have ever dealt with. They overgrade their items and maximize the price. Their customer service seems to find any way they can to blame you for the problem. I ordered a coin from them and had it cleaned, conserved, and slabbed. It came back as the lowest grade possible for the group and even though it was a $5 Indian Head gold coin NGC graded the color as brown. The kiss of death for a gold coin. NEVER buy a coin from them that is not graded by NGC or NCGS. They will take advantage of you. I would suggest you stick with a more reputable company like APMEX or J M Bullion for your online purchases. An ungraded coin from this company may just disappoint you. I would say stay away.

One of the worst experience buying from provident metals. Their processing and shipping to terribly slow. I never received the item. Stay away from them

I have ordered 20 walking liberties and aztec coin at 11/22. They received the check at 11/25. My payment is still in hold. I called costumer service friday to ask when I was going to get my order. She said " You would get it monday " and today is tuesday They didn't even shipped yet. They are full of scam. Don't shop from provident metal, They are scammer!!!

Paid by e-check 11/23 . Still hasn't shipped. Meanwhile placed an order at another dealer by e-check 11/26 and already received that order.. all after holding periods. Thought I would try them after nearly 2 years and sure regret that decision.

My wife and I have made several purchases with Provident and have been pleased overall. Because of the live pricing, a knowledgeable investor can save a small bit of money.

We typically pay by chexk, so the shipping process can be a bit long. We have always received our metals and they have always looked great.

The only issue that either of us has ever had was when we purchased several coins that soon ran out of stock in the same order as others that remained in stock. After two weeks, I called to inquire about the status of our order and was told that the entire package had been held until the out of stock coins were back in stock. When I asked the woman what my choices were, she offered to send the in stock items separately. We received the items quickly after that and our experience was relatively positive. A bit more communication would have been nice, but the issue was resolved.

Provident is our go to precious metals dealer.

I have bought quite a few orders from Provident Metals lately a more or less good not great since I have had some issues with them. Please read the following:
I ordered over 45 days ago about $800.00 in Brittanias Silver Coins on special.
They shipped and order was received at Coppell USPS Facility allegedly, and 35 days later the order is "nowhere" to be found.
I had to wait for 30 days for an internal investigation and no results, so they give me the options to either resend the order or a refund. I write a letter to them indicating I wanted a Resend of the order.
Melissa Grubb, all along has been less than providing Excellent Customer Service indicates that they were out of stock.
I go into their Web Site and Surprise Surprise they have the Brittanias Random Years available for sale, but now at over $18.
I bought them at $16+/-..
I informed her that they were available and now the story changes and she indicates that usually they just send out a refund.
Of course, they would lose $2 approximately per coin.
They didn't offer to replace with a similar coin like a Silver Eagle, Maple Leaf, they just wanted to get rid of me and pocket $2 per coin.
Her answer, we already shipped the refund, I wish they were that responsive when it's the customer with a problem.
They solve their problems very expediently but the customers......NOT SO MUCH!!
This is the 3rd issue I have had with them and will stay away from this company, too many reputable companies out there to deal with a company that won't step up to the plate and take responsibility....You are out!!!!
I suggest anyone that has had problems with this company to start complaints at the BBB and State Attorney Office. BEWARE

Have dealt with Provident on several occasions both buying and selling over a number of years. No problems, good service and prompt payments on my sells. Have also dealt with Apmex. Provident on occasion has much better prices. Have high confidence with Provident Metals, even for large purchases and sells. GLTA.

Ordered a gold bracelet (0.9999 1 troy oz) for my wife for Christmas, product was in stock when I ordered. I sent a check which needed to be cleared, fine. Gold spot price started rising. 24 calendar days or 15 business days and now site says it is out of stock. Gold spot price has risen to the point they wont make much profit. Service tells me that they do not know when they will receive more bracelets.

I want my money back, but no they will not honor the current gold spot price. BS, give me my money. They said they will cut a check and refund me but it will take 5 or more business days. I will not return to this place.

Usually no problem with them. But they messed up two orders in a row. First they sent me copper rounds instead of silver and didn't believe me until they checked their video.

Then they sent me underweight and damaged bullion. They want ME to pay for shipping back to them so that they can charge me a 10% restocking fee. WHAT?! Never again. I've had problems with other dealers and THEY made it better. Not Provident. Their mistake is YOUR problem.

I Have Made A Half Dozen Purchases From Provident Over A Period Of 3+ Years. Every Purchase Was As Requested And Prompt. I Made One Sale To Provident, The Transaction Was Smooth And As Expected. I Would And Will Do Business With Provident In The Future. I Recommend Provident Metals.

The day I placed my order I also placed orders with two other metal companies. I received my order from Provident Metals on the second business day after I placed my order. I still currently haven't received my orders from the other two companies. I am extremely impressed with how fast the shipping was, the quality of the pieces that I ordered, and the quality of the packaging. I will definitely be recommending this company and purchasing more metals from them. Thank you Provident Metals!

No need to buy from anyone else. Fast shipping, echeck and great prices. They always price match so I only order from them. Never had a problem so I'll stick to them.

Great products at a great price

Amazed order delivered in three days!! Although, checked Monster box and several coin tubes were on the verge of popping open. Silver dollar coins in those tubes were tilted or almost trapped in coin tube cover. Could strapping tape be used on each individual coin tube for shipping purposes? Chatted with Melissa and she helped a lot with coin storage questions. Provident Metals is on point with customers service. Waiting on shipment email from next order placed yesterday?

I recently ordered a 1/10 oz gold Krugerrand random year pick and was surprised not only by the speed of process & delivery but also by the arrival of a Choice 1982 Krugerrand in excellent condition.I am no a professional grader by no means but I would venture to say that it is at least BU and I like it.A Happy Customer.Of course, I'll be back.

Prices were reasonable and items arrived in a relatively timely fashion. They were offering a deal at spot price so it was too good of a deal to pass up.

The site was easy to browse and identify the products - great prices and easy checkout process. Product was shipped quickly and received at my residence in great packaging and all items were as promised. 10/10 will shop here again.

Excellent value offered. Coins (Congo Silver Lion) are attractive but lightly struck. Order was filled accurately and shipped within timeframe expected. I will watch for good deals with Provident Metals in the future.

I really like copper and they have exactly what I'm looking for. It may not be the best thing to use as an investment, but that's not really why I buy copper.

Buying on-line from a company you don't know is always scary. After extensive research about Provident, I placed a small order and was not disappointed. Although the processing time was lengthy with the purchasing method I chose, it proceeding EXACTLY as their website stated. Since that first order, I have made several more purchases and have never been disappointed. The merchandise is packaged beautifully and in great shape. When I made my most current purchase, I changed my buying method to using PayPal instead of cash and the entire process was a lot faster, also according to the detailed explanation on their website. Read everything. I also appreciate the return address NOT identifying them as a bullion dealer.

People tend to forget that once an order leaves any company and gets into the hands of a carrier, delivery can be a "wild card". The company no longer has control and a great deal of trust must be exercised by the customer. I've been fortunate that all my purchases reached their destination but I provided for safe delivery on MY end by using a mail business who takes in packages from 5 am to Midnight with a live person at the counter.

Provident was running a sale on coins at spot (limit of 3), so I had to buy them (and some other coins as well). Once again, excellent turnaround time at an excellent price. I couldn't be happier and will continue to buy from them at every chance I get.

After a bad experience purchasing silver online I tried Provident Metals. I only ordered a couple rounds to check them out but I'm very satisfied.

Helpful customer service. They helped me narrow my purchase to my specific financial needs. This was my second purchase. I'm impressed with the products and discrete shipping labeling. Just a little nervous waiting for the arrival. I will order again.

This was my second purchase within a week's time. I was so impressed with the service and fast delivery of my first order that I ordered again. I received beautiful pieces and I will be ordering again. I am confident with the discrete shipping process and that the customer service will be excellent. I did everything online and had no issues at all.

I was a long time customer of Provident, but never again.

My spouse missed delivery of an order while I was out of town. It was a small order (one coin) that could have been placed in my secure mailbox, but they insist on charging extra for signature upon delivery to your door. I was out of town and unable to pick up from the post office during their 15 day holding period. My order was sent back to Provident, and now I have to pay $12 to get a one ounce coin reshipped.

I called and politely explained my situation and asked for a break, even just a discounted shipment fee since I have been a loyal customer for some time now. I first spoke with Sana, who was rude with me and had a very bad attitude from the start. I then asked for a manager or supervisor and after a lengthy hold, was connected with Chandler who waited patiently for me to finish speaking and sternly denied my request, stating they would go out of business if they gave people breaks on shipping issues.

They have made a hell of a lot more than $12 off of me in the past, and would have continued to have a lifetime customer if not for this experience. It wasn't just the $12, it was the way they spoke to me on the phone. I was made to feel insignificant and unappreciated. They seemed irritated that I'd even have the gall to make such a request and acted like they did me a favor for even shipping it out once.

I will never buy from Provident again.

Also, do not be fooled by all of these fake positive reviews. Very few of them are real customers.

Being a newby at buying metals I found you guys made it very easy. Got your website from a friend who buys from you quite a bit. Said it would be easy and it was. Kudos guys.

Polite, courteous, HELPFUL, pleasant, funny, friendly................I could probably go on, but you get the message! I have finally found a place where I can ask questions, get solid answers and learn so much while I'm being treated like I'm really important!! What more could anyone ask?
