I'm totally confused by the poor reviews for NTM on this site. I placed an order for a few NMT silver bars, and one each Credit Suisse gold and platinum bars using the online store, noting the anticipated 4 week delivery estimate on the site. I ordered on April 17 and was given an anticipated delivery date of May 6, but later received tracking info with an *earlier* delivery date than promised. I received everything on April 30. I also don't understand why others are in a hurry to receive their shipment as long as their price is locked in. Precious metals are not short term investments.

I recieved the wrong item after 4 months. They sent it on the lasyt possible day before they had to give a refund. They sustituted the Arcadia 5 oz coins with another and did not tell me. The shipping invoice said Arcadia, so it appears they were being deceptive. They refused to give a refund. I will not use this company again.

I have had numerous experiences with Northwest Territorial Mint

I believe in cash.
I checked with them about this.

Was told the following:

If they had the product, and I had the cash for the product, they would deliver the product across the counter, upon receiving the cash price.

They were not used to large cash transactions at the time of my largest purchase--in the eight thousand range--a few years ago, and had to hand count the 100 dollar bills.

This was done several times to verify the totals.

They produced the product desired on each occasion.
I inspected these at time of purchase.
Each time they were courteous, knowledgeable and to the point.
They answered every question I asked and did not give me the impression they were scammers in the least.
Reading the reviews here is an eye opener.
Some buyers think that checks and credit cards are the same as US currency.
They aren't.
As far as I am able to tell, no one has lost any money with them, but they have lost time, worn their patience out, and if truth be told, indicated just what happens to the inexperienced and innocent in this world.

Funny, how life teaches these lessons, eh?

This company is a complete joke. After tying up 3,500$ of my money for 4 months they somehow managed to ship my product on the LATEST day they could without me being entitled to a full refund. The original shipping window was less than 2 months. Avoid this company. I ordered a similar product from APMEX and received it in less that a week.

Same experience. Check cleared late Dec'12. First shipment Window closed recently. New, a month further out. Hope they don't go Chapter 11. The standard practice is to use free money for 4 months. Customer service is Non-existent. Story heard RE the delay seemed practiced a lot and was polished. Wish had seen these reviews before. Future is what I control, not the past. Was told my product has been purchased and in the W'house and trying to get the product out ASAP. Save yourself the headaches and buy elsewhere. Next fear, no shipment after the next window and will have to dance around for a few months to get the refund. Will write to BBB.

Now on four months from time of order. Still have not received my order. Their customer service is HORRIBLE. I WILL NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND RECOMMEND THAT NOBODY USE THEM!!!!!

I received an email on Jan 1st saying my payment was received and my order will ship this week. Today is the last day of the shipping window and I just received the email saying 30 more days.
After reading all these poor reviews, I am very nervous that I won't ever see my metals. I have always used silvergoldbull.com with NEVER an issue. Great prices and super fast delivery. I'll never stray again silvergoldbull!

I've never had a bad experience with them. Some of the folks on here need to realize that if you're a serious investor, you're buying this stuff as an investment for the long term. There is no reason to freak out if you get your product.

I've been using them for many years now and always have had a good experience. If they communicate terms to me and they do, then I either accept those terms and wait for my stuff to arrive or if I don't like the terms then I can choose to use someone else.

I like the fact that I can resell back to them which makes it really easy and painless. The people have never been rude to me or my wife and we've both engaged in several dozen transactions with them recently and in the past.

My take is that if you get the stuff you paid for and they've communicated the terms to you then there is no reason to get upset. The product is far superior to any other that I've seen and I would gladly buy again from them. If I want something tomorrow and dont want to pay for shipping, well, let me know when you find a place that does that.

I ordered from NW Territorial Mint in Nov 2012. Very disappointing. Took four months to get delivery and then on the last possible day according to the purchase agrrement they shipped the wrong product just to say they shipped it. Demanded a full refund and they simply refused. Don’t buy from them.

All of you who have been scammed recently by NWTM:

FILE AN ONLINE COMPLAINT with the WA AT's office right away. I did today. Stand UP and Speak OUT! DO it! They will contact NWTM. If enough of us do this, we may get them to "cease and desist" for the next guy!!!!

My check cleared on November 5 2012, I mad a huge purchase and still have not got it. All I've got was bunch of excuses and bogus promises that package will be shipped.

The COMPANY USES PEOPLES MONEY, and may ship order on the last date possible which is 4 month after check is cleared, or if they don't have it in stock you will have to fight for refund and when you got the refund back you basically loaned a lot of money with NO INTEREST.

I am very disappointing with such service.

The company is trying lure people in with slightly reduced prices, but you might never see your order.

Called yesterday and got some lame excuse as to why my order had not shipped yet. They said it might be another 30 days. Will not buy from this place again.

Ordered Silver Bullet Bullion Jan 1, 2013 and still waiting. Told I should receive Feb. 4, 2013. Called today and said may take another 2 months. Asked for a refund and they refused.

Bottom line is I gave them a $50,000 dollar loan interest free for 4 months. My experience lines up with the other negative reviews of Northwest Territorial Mint. There are better companies out there, avoid this one!!

I had the bars tested and they are NOT .999 silver. I suggest everyone check their orders carefully.(Ignore the ratings. I had to make some entry to make this posting.)

I order 100 ounces of silver from NWT Mint back in November and am still waiting to receive my order.

In the mean time I found Provident Metals who are cheaper and much faster. I have ordered 2 monster boxes and 2 separate junk silver order from Provident and received them all the while still waiting for my NWT Mint order.

I was new to bullion investing and should have read these reviews first. NW Mint's scam is to use your money as long as possible before shipping the product. The kicker is they are certainly not cheaper prices either.

My experience with purchasing from Northwest Territorial Mint was excellent. They delivered what I ordered at the time promised. Their communications with me were professional and timely.

Ordered Silver Eagles, waited 15weeks, finally was shipped some rounds, NOT Ragles.. Rep advised they would send FedEx to pickup rounds then ship Eagles, Rounds picked up, Eagles arrived 5weeks later.. Unfortunate that there is not a -5 star rating..

I ordered 3 times. Horrible service! 3-4 months to get my order! Said I could cancel my last order if not shipped by Jan. 7. Received no e-mail showing shipment. Shipping bill was dated Jan. 7, but postmark was Jan. 9. They refused to negotiate, could not explain what happened. Please don't give these people your business! There's something not right about this place! Please buy somewhere else & save your self a lot of problems! Horrible customer service, phone lines are full or they are @ lunch. Please listen to me, call someone else that will appreciate your business!

My experience with northwest mint territorial started when i bought from them a 100 ounce JOHNSON MATTHEY silver bar . i received an old bar that had drilled holes in it and since then i have been trying to send it back or replace or even sell it back to them ,but they are refusing to listen or help solve the problem and they are refusing to buy their product back . STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY , you will be throwing your money away and dealing with a very bad company that will not stand behind its products and will not help you out with any problem . i have submitted a complaint with the better business bureau and my next step is the FBI if the bar turns out to be not pure silver as it should be

I've got an idea. Send me a check, I will cash it and put it into the bank drawing interest. After 3-6 months I will tell you I can't ship and offer to send your money back. Can you say Ponzi......

The receptionist smelled like she soiled herself and was very gassy without even trying to conceal it. She was rude and did not know what she was talking about. Also I could have sworn she was surfing the internet and not acknowledging people in the waiting room. Poor!

Ordered silver in August waited and waited. My order kept getting delayed. I called and asked for a refund. They wont give you a refund just buy back So I sold it back to them in December with out ever actually receiving my silver. What a rip off.

i ordered 20 oz. of gold on 8/2012 - but if i had cash i could of took delivery that day. i was told delivery would take 8-10 weeks- i waited 12 weeks including the 2 weeks for my check to clear and then i received a e-mail stating that it would be an additional 30 days for delivery. i was told that i would get market value at any time but for a full refund (what i paid) i would have to wait the full 30 days-if golds' down you are stuck- if golds up you can sell anytime. i waited a total of 4 months and no gold-it seems to me that this company does not know the business and is using peoples money-i just wanted the gold but i do not trust this company to wait any longer.i will never deal with this company again and i should of known that something was wrong by their poor reviews but i purchased from them about 6 years ago with no problem? this dealer is currently (2012) rated poor by me.i think the saying fits-fool me once shame on you -fool me twice shame me.

VERY poor customer service. Rude and unfriendly! Has anyone ever received their shipment within the 8-10 weeks..........doubtful! Delays, delays, and excuses.

I purchased 2 100oz silver bars online for a great price as they have the best prices I could find and free shipping. I was given a shipping date and greatly anticipated receiving my silver. Much to my disappointment the shipping date came and went I was notified of the delay via email. Once the second shipping date came and went I decided to sell back before prices dropped and they had the discretion to send me a check instead of the silver. They did promptly send me a check for the silver I never received and I made a healther profit so only unhappy that after 3months I did not receive any precious metals.

When I first started out, I made my purchases at several different places – online auctions, some of the local ones in my town, and even some of the big ones online, but once I found these guys, I have been doing my business with them ever since.

I have always received everything that I ordered, sure, sometimes the wait is a little longer but they let you know that from the very beginning and it’s the reason for the low prices you get.

They also have very knowledgable experts that work there and they've often advised me of the real worth of something I am trading, where other places have tried to offer me way less for my stuff.

Additionally, I am not charged any shipping fees.
I have found that to be the case with every dealer I have ever ordered from. I’ve never really had any problems with their customer service either. They always send you emails from the time you order to the time your order ships, and they’re just a phone call away if you ever need to get a hold of them.

If you’re buying those kinds of products then you should only care that you actually to get them. I’ve called them up a few times just to check the status, and the customer service representatives were always very polite and upfront about everything. All in all, I like their low prices, and their stuff is beautifully made.

I know that the market is pretty tight these days because of high demand, but these guys seem to have all of their ducks in a row with competitive pricing, a large selection to choose from, and courteous customer service.

I use the internet ordering portal. I've had good service from them, and have made seven or eight orders over the last few years. Last time, I ordered some gold, and it was delayed. I waited about three weeks after the delay email, then called, and had to leave a message. A rep called me the next morning to advise when my product would likely ship. She was courtious. If you realize that these smaller operations don't have tons and tons on hand, you'll be fine.

Not worth the lower price. I waited 4 full months before my merchandise was sent to me. I also received the standard e mails saying "they are so overwhelmed with orders that there will be delays in shipping." I think it is their game to "sit on your money for a long time" before they ship the merchandise. I regret not looking at these reviews before I placed my order.

Wow ... I bought from NTM in 2008 and the order took 6 months to arrive. Hard to believe they are still playing the game so poorly. Or well, depending on the game.

I purchased in June. The order was to arrive in 6-8 weeks. Nothing here yet. I will call them again this week and I shall also contact the state attorney general's office. Supposedly one of their machines broke down and is still down--this was weeks ago.
I have purchased from this company in the past and had delivery within a reasonable time. Yes, silver has gone up--but it could just as easily have gone down.

4 months to recieve shipment. Finally got it.
Low price not worth the wait.

We placed two orders in early June and it's now mid-Sept. No shipment. We keep getting 30 day delays because of their order volume, down equipment, and and and. The latest is yet another 30 delay. We asked to consolidate the orders - well, another 30 day shipment delay. Of course they needed a cashier's check or cleared check before they would even place the order (cash in their hand.) Then the 90+ day clock starts. Of course, if you call to complain about the HUGE delay, they offer your money back through the sale of your order. Moral of the story: someone mentions NWT Mint => RUN! You may or may not see your money or investment again.

Horrible wait time. 12 weeks. i checked shipping order, now it is 4 more weeks judging by other reviewers, this is a common tactic, called sales, salesman was rude. I'll never buy from them again.

Please, Please, Please people NEVER, Never purchase from these people. They'll hold your money, you wait and wait. 8-10 weeks ballooned into 4 months. But if you have to then only buy thru there on-line store and you'll get your product in 10-14 days.
That's what they want, you to pay a premium and shipping charges.
This company really sucks

I will never again purchase from this site. They hold your money, wait until the last minute to ship the product ostensibly because they are overwhelmed with orders, but if you want to pay extra, you can get the same product off their website and have it shipped in a two days. After placing my order in March, I got the dreaded delay notice on my order, since I live close to Auburn, WA, I decided to venture up there. I visited their brink and mortar store and they had exactly what I had ordered in stock for sale over the counter at less than I paid! I asked if I could have my order credited to an over the counter order and was told no. So, finally after a 14 week wait, I received my order. Never again, I will use Gainsville coins from here on out.

I ordered on April 16th expected delivery 9-13 July. Called today and they said my order would be delayed. I will be leaving the country in 3 weeks and want to take my silver with me. I planned this out more than 3 months ago since the projected wait time was 8-10 weeks it shouldn't have been a problem. The lady told me that it would probably be 2-3 weeks late, I suspect it will be much longer. Of course they want me to sell it back for $5 an ounce less. I agree with those below, there is no reason to have to wait this long. I have since found a guy locally that works out of his house and can get me anything I want, cheaper than NWTM, and it takes him no longer than a week. How is it possible that the largest silver mint can't fulfill an order in 3 months? Something else is definitely going on. They are floating their business with our money.

I ordered in April and got an email stating I could sell back or wait another month.

CLIP FROM NWT EMAIL: "If you choose not to wait the additional thirty days for delivery, you can choose to sell your order back to us at current market prices anytime before the order is shipped.

If we are unable to ship any portion of your order by August 6th, 2012, you are entitle to receive either a full refund of the amount you paid or the prevailing market price of the item(s) you ordered, whichever is higher. Other options may be available to you as well."

Does anybody else think this sounds like an outright extortion attempt? April silver price was about $10 an ounce higer than "current market price" - Why would they refund me in full if they don't hit shipment target #2(in 30 more days) - but they won't offer refund in full NOW? If I want out NOW - I can take a $10/ounce hit ... I will definitely NEVER enter into another purchase contract with this company. I feel violated.

On 04/30/12 I ordered silver coins & bullions. I was told delivery would take 8 to 10 weeks (which I agreed to). At the 10 week mark, I received an e mail informing me that delivery will probably take another 30 days. I see no reason it should take more than 10 weeks to fulfill my order. What is their problem? Are they waiting for more orders to come in so they can receive more money into their coffers? For their reputation, I hope they ship my order soon.

It really isn't that hard. If you want your silver fast - don't buy from nwt mint. However, they make it clear in the beginning that it could be slow delivery. They also allow you to cancel your order and get fair market value in case it goes up while you are waiting for it. That makes for a really easy transaction. I have always got what I ordered, and I had to cancel 1 order but they paid fair market value so no loss to me. I have had good experiences.

I ordered some Canadian Silver Maples from them in December. The rep was pleasant, and when I asked if there were any downsides to buying from them instead of one of the other “big” companies (e.g. APMEX, Kitco, etc), he was honest and said “we have long wait times for delivery”.

I've placed a dozen gold orders with these people. Delivery is always late, often months late. I suspect when bullion prices go down they delay delivery, waiting for the customer to get frustrated and cancel. Then they refund the lower bullion price, making a profit by failing to perform. I've waited 117 days for my latest order and demanded the refund they say I'm entitled to. I'm out $51,000 and still waiting.

I have had 3 transactions with NWTM and have found them to be great to work with. Sometimes the shipments were slow but they told me they would be.
Always arrived within their guidelines and always just what I ordered.

Really nobodyatall? You are giving a company a 1/5 review because you have to wait an extra week for delivery?

You lost contracts? Why are you making contracts with people until you have the physical silver on hand? It's like selling silver certificates to people without the actual silver.

I'm a US Sailor deploying to Afghanistan. There is a 3 month wait period at this time to receive my Silver which means I'll already be deployed by the time it's ready to be sent. I explained this to the guy on the phone and NWTM will hold my Silver for me free of charge while deployed and have it shipped me immediately upon return. I believe that kind of customer service is incredible.

I give them a 4/5 because of the wait period which means I'll have to get my Silver after I return from Afghanistan, but this was all explained and worked out on the phone BEFORE I made my purchase. I was not surprised. I couldn't find a more trusted dealer with a shorter wait period and the prices + quality that NWTM guarantees.

This is a review on NWTM and the comments made by nobodyatall on Jan.29,2011 concerning NWTM and our business Stagg's Inc. Stagg's Inc. customers are never told where their product is coming from so nobodyatall's comment linking their order to NWTM has no merit or validity. What does have validity is the order was completed a week late with delivery from Stagg's Inc. though product was delivered at four different times during the month to try and make this order work for this customer. Customers who are not comfortable if an order is not exactly on time would be wise to NOT purchase precious metals unless they buy 'live product' placed right in front of them. In early 2008 it was not uncommon for silver orders with all companies taking upwards to 2-3 months for delivery. With regards to Northwest Territorial Mint I find them to be an excellent company overall but it would be nice if they were located in our state captial Olympia, WA and not quite so competively close.

I called them because they were listed on the US Mint's list of dealers and they are near where my sister lives. They would not proceed until they were sure I understood the terms and the transaction. Their package was well packaged, and I was able to track it on its way.

The people here are a pleasure to speak with on the phone, and even nicer in person. I love their silver, too, which they make themselves.
