I love Provident. I always get a good price on the silver I buy, and the shipping is fast and well packaged.

They ship out discretely using "Provident Machine Bearing" Whitch is brilliant. It explains why the package is compact and has weight to it and fools potential theives into thinking there are worthless ball bearing in the box.

The local coin shops want way too much premium for everything. Provident is cheaper by far.

Fast and Everything looks great

I am relatively new to precious metal and coin collecting ... retired with a new interest.
....researched quite extensively different bullion companies - and have found PM's website easy to use, prices almost always the best, good selections and some great deals - esp. their buy any quantity at low over spot price. Starting in Feb. of this year, I have placed numerous orders - always paying by cashier's check and money order - all items received in brilliant/new condition - coins/bullion arrive well packed; and in protective sleeves or strong round tubes/sealed BU from the mint. The only caveat would be the time to receive; although I've never had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for packages to arrive ... PM appears to expedite their end of payt. confirmation/processing to order(s) shipped in a good time frame, in my opinion, the "duration" appears to be more weighted on the UPS/USPS side of things - perhaps supersonic drone deliveries would be something to consider in the future :-).
Basically, I like collecting the precious metal bullion/coins for investment and intrigue...as to the customer's reference to "nutjob end-of-the-world preppers" - sounds like a comment coming from a liberal who thinks the government is always looking out for the best interests of its' constituents -anyhow, the preppers may be doing something right; and come out further ahead for themselves and families - "ridicule; and you may get screwed".

Was not Aware that my order did not come with protective capsules for the cleopatra-Grand Canyon-the captain silver 2oz rounds were not included with order. Received order (including 20 silver American Eagles) total almost $600.00 dollars. Not arguing cost...but when I contacted customer service about my concern...was flatly told if I wanted plastic capsules then for additional shipping + cost they would be happy to comply...since capsules were not free...I was not aware of any problem at the purchase time.j
I had planned to purchase additional bullion, but felt annoyed that they could not accomadate me. I paid them additional funds...but will rethink future purchases with Provident.

The item I ordered is amazing, of course. It was shipped not too long after I ordered it and the price is lower than anywhere else on the internet. The issue I have is that the item is worth $700+ and yet they used the UPS to USPS Surepost method, which takes an extra day to get to you, not to mention the potential issues of UPS transferring to USPS. I feel once your order reaches a couple of hundred dollars, it should just stay with UPS or Fedex for a straight delivery. Or at least give you an option to pay more for shipping (which I didn't get when I made the order)

I had to pay UPS an extra $3.50 to turn it from UPS Surepost to just plan old UPS ground. I got it a day earlier, plus the peace of mind of not having it go through USPS (because they will have more issues delivering packages than UPS or Fedex, plus they're likely to leave it in your mailbox!)

Over all, that is minus 2 stars for Shipping Time, and minus 1 for Buying Experience for not offering the option to upgrade the shipping.

I recently ordered a 1 ounce silver bar from them for some metal work; previously I had ordered 2 lbs copper bars for making bronze. Both times I found the prices ok and I had no problem with service from order to receipt, although the shipping time in both instances seemed to run long. I would warn, however, that, based on the magnets they ship with their orders and phrases on their product videos such as "when you are preparing for the coming barter system", they at a minimum cater to a population cross section of nutjob end-of-the-world preppers. I'll probably order from them again unless I find better prices and they prepper nonsense is good to share for a laugh, but if you don't want your money supporting that type of thing I would recommend going elsewhere.

This is my 3rd order. Each time the processing and shipping time is taking longer. My order was not a large order and according to the website everything was in stock. After 4 days with the order in "payment processed" status, I called and spent 25 minutes waiting for someone to talk to. I was told it would take up to 5 days to pack and a week for shipping. I will now be looking to spend my money with another business.

Ordered a gold coin from Provident on 12/30/2015. They asked that I send postmarked payment by 12/31/2015. Sent payment on 12/31/2015. According to Provident, payment was not received by them until 1/8/2016. This is a lie. Then I contacted the customer service hotline and discussed that I would be out of town the week of 1/18-1/22. I explained that I could have my mail held if they were shipping it USPS and that this would be acceptable. She assured me that it would be shipped USPS. I later recevied an email that my order was shipped UPS and that the scheduled delivery date would be on 1/18. Of course I am out-of-town and cannot receive it. I promptly called Chandler who said that he would check into the situation and call me back the next business day. He never called. After I filed a complaint with the company he sent me a message saying that he attempted to call me but I did not answer. Another lie. My phone was on all day and I never received an email. Now I must travel 25 miles to a UPS center to pick up this order. Poor customer service. Poor communication. Cannot trust them.

I have placed 5 orders with Provident Metals. Each time I get prompt email conformations of my order status. I pay via check so it takes awhile to receive my order but after my payment has been confirmed I get a tracking number within a day and receive my order by the 3rd day. All orders have been packaged very well. The product received is top notch, not nicks or scratches. All in all a great company who I will keep doing business with.

First time buyer here. Everything was good except the shipping time. It took 4 days for them to "process" my order and ship it. 6 days in transit. It took a total ten days from the time I paid to get my order. Everything I ordered was nice and of good quality. The speed of service is severely lacking. I have never waited longer than 4 days for JM Bullion to have my order at my door. Provident has a wider product variety. But as an online merchant myself, speed of service is not good.

I purchased two NTR 10 oz bars that were listed as "New" but came dinged to high ****. There were even X's all over the packaging indicating they were rejects. When I called, they treated me poorly and refused to even exchange it. The woman even had the nerve to offer me the buyback price, which would mean I take a loss. I tried leaving a review for the NTR bar on their site, yet "mysteriously" it has never appeared. Gee I wonder how there are only 5 Star reviews for that bar on their own site. SCUM OF THE EARTH!

Great items at good prices. A little bit more expensive than other places but they have the really unique coins. Fast delivery and secure with USPS. Buying amazing silver coins way better price than local shops. Recommend buying.
