It has been several years since my last purchase. . I originally tried to make another purchase from my original dealer, however, due to changes in their business structure, I was no longer able to do so. I was nervous about using another dealer, however, after shopping around and reading numerous reviews, I decided to give Provident Metals a try. 9 out 10 orders were delivered within 4 days. The other was delivered in ten days. contacted them by their contact us on website on 7th day. Was replied to on same day and recieved order 2 days later. Couldn't be more pleased.Would highly recomend.

WOW! I read some of these reviews and find it hard to believe some of the low ratings because I have been ordering small amounts from Provident for approximatly three years and every order has been perfect every time, always receive exactly what I order, shipping has always been very reasonable and fast, I messed up one of my orders once and called customer service and they handled it fast and accurate. I order from several different coin dealers and none of them compare to Provident. I don't know what else to say except I am one happy customer and will continue to order from Provident in the future.

2. both Prospector bar and round are classic specimens of a long-lived tradition; beautiful.
3. lunar goat is as fine as any of the more famous mint offerings--at a bargain price
4. the Dogecoin is an absolute knockout; to the moon, indeed. Awesome.

Buying 10oz bars has the same consistency in buying experience. Always paying a little more with the credit card but ships next day. In Texas as well so the shipment is always received within a day or two during the week.

I can't give them horrible marks in buying experience because I actually have so far (orders pending now) received everything that I ordered, My WHOLE problem with this company is that they repeatedly take WAY too long to acknowledge that my payment has been received! And then after they finally do acknowledge they have my check, then they "process" for far longer than they claim they will ...my experience is 3-4 weeks from when I mailed my check rather than the 10 days or maybe 2 weeks one might expect according to their claims. I mail a check the DAY I order unless the post office is closed and then it is ALWAYS ALWAYS the VERY next business day ALWAYS. And yet EVERY SINGLE TIME they do not acknowledge that they receive the payment for over a week! One time it was over two weeks! At first I let it slide, I am an easy going person ...but it got to me finally because it drives me nuts not knowing WHEN I am going to get my shipment! I have to keep checking back over and over again to get some idea! They are just either lazy slow as molasses or they need to hire someone else or SOMETHING! The ONLY reason I might still do business with them is if I can't get as good a deal somewhere else ..other than that they are off the bus and I am getting close to just not caring if I pay a couple more dollars somewhere else because it is THAT frustrating to deal with whoever is in charge of processing mailed in payments! OH By the way I DID pay via credit card one time ...only because the card company gave me $75 if I spent at least a thousand dollars ...so the $75 made up for the FOUR PERCENT extra Provident charges for anything but cash! (I think) Anyway that was the ONE time they showed my order "Processing" immediately...still took about a week as I recall but it was the fastest by far of all the transactions I have made with them. OH and the time they claimed my check did not arrive for two weeks? They changed to free shipping by the time they CLAIM to have received my check ...but would they refund my $10 or so shipping fee that they did not charge by then? NO! They do a lousy job at customer interface...basically they are fully more willing to call the customer a liar rather to admit the slightest possibility SOMEONE at their end is the problem! They would be so far ahead I think, from what I have experienced so far that is, to just come right out in the beginning and say "if you pay by check, you will simply have to be very patient and wait however long it takes which typically might be 3 to 4 weeks" and then not put on their web site "awaiting payment" for the customer to stew over every time he checks online for the status of his order!! Or to keep stewing over every time he sees "processing" day after day after day! Ya know? What they have now I think it a good formula to piss people off! Keeping it that way almost seems demented, like someone enjoys it or something which I know sounds paranoid and ridiculous but it DOES make me that crazy I suppose! Crazy enough to look for places like this to vent hoping I guess that somehow it might help eventually!

I had been a returning customer to Providentmetals.com for about 5 years making all my purchases of silver through them. Until my last purchase I had not had any issues. My last order however has completely changed my mind about them. I don’t know if they are under new management or what but I am no longer a returning customer. My last order I had ordered and received a 2012 Canada cougar MS 69 NGC certified coin with heavy oxidization around the entire circumference around the coin about ¼ in all the way around. I had contacted Bulliondirect.com about this as soon as I received the item and never received a reply back. I also made a bad review of the coin on their site that mysteriously never got posted on the site. This brings to question if they won’t respond to a customer’s questions about a inferior product that was sold by them or post a negative review of an item, how often does this happen? Because of this issue with Providentmetals.com I will not be returning as a customer.

I bought 2 tubes (50 coins) Mexican Libertad 1oz from Provident Metals, I have read several reviews saying don't do it but I gave it a try because the prices we better than everyone else.....I did the order online and everything worked out great. Provident posted my check quickly...waited the few days for the check to clear and my order was shipped no problems. Coins arrived in perfect shape looked like they just came out of a monster box untouched by hands. Good job Provident.

I placed an order with Provident Thursday at 6am. I chose them because their price on many items (I bought a roll of Silver Austrian Phils) was far better than most sites including shipping! I received confirmation rigt away, but not untill a day later, Friday around noon, my order was finally processed. Prior to this I started to read the reviews on this site and began to sorely regrett choosing provident based on the numerous negative feedback that go unanswered (vs jm bullion negative reviews that are always responded to). After all of the worry however, I received my shipment Monday at 1:15 Pm!!! Beautiful, brilliant, and CHEAPPPPP!!!! Packaging could have been a little better. That's my only complaint. Will chose provident again, although with hesitation on larger orders. (Their site clearly states this)

I recently purchased the Lernaean Hydra and the Zombucks Feast Dollar and they are two of my favorite coins for an exclusive provident series. I do have to say that the provident prospector is probably one of the most intricately designed coins I have ever seen or held. So glad I got one for myself. Everything got to me so quickly that I thought it was too good to be true. With the holidays, shipping can slow down across all types of websites, so I don't blame slower shipping during this time, but I haven't been unlucky haha. People talk about APMEX and JMBullion like they are the best, but Provident has the best prices and best quality I've experienced

Ordered from them 3 times. Everything went well and came in as ordered. Shipping can take a bit longer sometimes, but it's not like your metal has an expiration date. My only real problem with this company is that they have a huge selection- most of which seems to always be out of stock. I really just use them for their private minted bullion like Zombucks & 12 Labours of Hercules. If they kept better stock, they'd probably be my go-to for everything.

This is my 2nd order with these people, I pay with my debit card so they instantly get my money as it says "confirmed payment", on my last order it took almost 3 weeks to get my order - I'm in the USA! ... now, it's been 5 days and still nothing. They got my money and nothing. It's also lame that if you pay with a credit card, you can't send it to another address ? yet, all other bullion companies such as APMEX.COM allows this. Ridiculous. Worst shipping ever, I can see this being this slow in 1990 but it's 2014.. get with the program.

I looked at many sites to compare prices. Provident seemed to have the best prices on most items. I ordered some silver eagles for my first order from Provident. 52 hours later my silver was in my hands. Was not expecting my order that fast but was very pleased. Keep up the great service Provident Metals.

Placed 2 orders for platinum and 2 for gold. Paid by personal check, which delayed shipping by about 8-9 days from the day I mailed it. They sent me an email when I placed the order, when the check was received and when the metal shipped.

I got a good price, product in good shape and the service I expected.

I ordered a roll of 1oz Silver Incuse Indian Rounds and two 5oz Incuse Indian Rounds. I ordered on July 20, 2014 and received my order on July 24, 2014. The items were packaged so well that I had to cut the tape off with a knife to get the outside box open. The items inside were packaged in a plastic sealable bag that were placed inside a padded sealed envelope. Some of the best packaging that I've seen as I've ordered from other Companys also. Great Customer Service as well. I highly recommend Provident metals. Oh and the Silver Rounds look remarkable too. I will be buying again from Provident Metals. Thank You Provident for the Great Service.

I have ordered a couple of times from providential. Customer service was terrible and mostly clueless and curt . "Just because" should never be a valid answer to a customer's question....I called back a few times because I didn't want to base the company on just a few idiots. I finally got lucky wra Reese answered my call. She is absolutely wonderful.pleasant and very helpful...ask for her...she is the only reason I will do business with this company...

This was my first order and was very pleased with the fast service and good quality .

My first order of ASE's was delivered in 3 days. Perfect condition of coins, very secure packaging. I have every reason to continue dealing with these folks.

I wasn't sure how good provident so I tested them out with a small order of $6,968.53.

Any time I order I usually pay by wire transfer, as this ensures quick shipping. Which they were doing, until my last two orders of $5k each. After that I sent them two checks (why should I pay $20 for a wire and get my stuff late??) and still have yet to receive my order, even though it's cleared in the bank two weeks ago.

To make matters worst, one of my orders has a tracking number from a YEAR ago, they posted the tracking number today. They are playing games and either their inventory is tight OR they don't have the money to cover what they need to buy. I have spent over 20k in 5 orders and thank GOD I'm only waiting for the remaining 3.5k of product to be shipped to me. I have spent over 200k with Apmex and never had a problem, their a bit higher but worth it for peace of mind...at least for now. Stay away from Provident, its a sinking ship that's going to end badly.

This is the SECOND order out of three that they have switched the requested items that I ordered. I will do no more business with this company and now have a new supplier. As a new business owner, I am differentiating my services to quickly meet the needs of my customers. Provident Metals inability to accurately fill my requested orders, extensive processing time, and condescending and offensive customer service make this unreliable source all the more intolerable. I very strongly recommend that buyers find another source.

First time ordering from provident. I always use apmex but I wanted to see what provident could offer. Ordered 5 1oz silver bars and 4 rounds from the our choice category. Description said there would be a variety. I specifically ordered this to add variety to my portfolio, I even emailed provident after ordering requesting to have different bars/Rounds instead of all the same. I did this because they don't have a special request comment section while ordering, never heard back from customer service. Order came in and what do you know, all the same, 5 sunshine bars and 4 buffalo rounds. I was pretty upset. Also the description said air tites would be included with rounds, never got any. Packaging was lousy, all rounds were loose in the bottom of a sandwhich bag that was halfway zipped, rounds fell of of bag during shipment, were in the bottom of package. I emailed customer service twice with no response. I'm at work throughout the day and provident finally calls me and I could not answer and they didn't even leave a message!! I'm just so fed up with provident I don't know if I will use them again. I'd rather pay a few extra bucks and buy from apmex to save myself the aggravation.
