I made my 1st purchase from Gainesville Coins for the south korea gallus silver. I compared the pricing with the other retailers on gainesville's pricing was bar far the lowest out there. I placed my order using a credit card and chose ups shipping. My main contact was Luis who was very friendly and also let me add 5 more coins to my order even after it was already placed. I would happily recommend them to anyone.

Gainesville Coins is a classic "Bait & Switch" con. I bought a gold bar from them and I was sent a "similar bar". I complained and they assured me they would make it up when the bar I originally wanted and paid became available. It did and they said to send the bar to them and they would exchange it. They would not pay S&H and they would not pro-rate the cost of the bar. So they expected me to pay THEM $80+ more for the bar I bought earlier due to the increase in gold spot. There are many many coin dealers out there- DO NOT GET RIPPED OFF BY GAINESVILLE.

I made a purchase of 60 Troy ounces of silver couple of days ago and paid with a card. I get a phone call to confirm my transaction and went very smooth. I was exited for my purchase and I was waiting to receive my billions. I checked with the bank and the purchase went through smoothly. There was no issue on my side. After 5 days of my purchase I receive an email saying "This email is in regard to order 360434. Unfortunately your credit card did not pass the verification by our security department and we have cancelled this purchase. We will be refunding your card for the full amount. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause." I was kinda shocked. I went to the bank to see if there was any restriction on my account but no everything seemed fine on my end. I locked the price when silver was 15.20 and before receiving this email silver went up to 15.86. I contacted them and they were telling me bunch of lies that they can't do anything about it and I can no longer make business with them. This was kinda rude so I asked for a supervisor or owner to know more why this purchase is not going through. A lady answered the phone and asked about my name. I said this is me speaking and her response was even worse. She just simply said sorry we can not give you any information and just hang up. I'm like wow. They hold my money for that long and after they see the increase of silver decided to cancel so they could sell it for higher I bet. Stay away from these crooks they don't deserve your business. Ignore all these other 5 star reviews. They are made by them who work in this stupid business!!!

I couldn't be more pleased with my entire purchase experience with gainesville coins. From start to finish they have been by far the easiest and most professional bullion dealer ive used to date. I placed my initial test order over the phone with one of their reps who explained the entire process in detail and she answered all my questions. I paid with a credit card and from the time the order was placed to the time it arrived at my front door was 4 days. I'm glad I shopped around and unless they dont have something Im looking for they will be getting all my future business.

kudos to these guys for a job well done! I generally purchase from my LCS but decided to give online a try. Gainesville had the lowest prices that I could find on the silver eagles. I paid with a credit card and received my order very quickly and packaged nice and secure. I considering purchasing some gold from them on my next order, possibly the 1 oz gold bars or krugerrands. A good friend of mine has been buying from these guys for a while now and finally convinced me to start investing in bullion. They had a sale on silver eagles and picked up 100 of them. I placed my order with my amex and received my coins 5 days from the day the order was placed. With the recent drop in prices Im thinking about making another purchase with them,

I'm a HUGE Guy Harvey fan and so when I saw Gainesville Coins had silver rounds with his artwork on it, I had to buy some. This is actually my first silver purchase. I purchased a few of the each type, the regular bullion rounds, the proofs and the copper. I especially like the proof ones with the serial number and box. Very happy with the quick shipping and buying process was simple :)
