I have ordered twice from JM Bullion and have had superb service both times. I ordered 1000 rounds on Monday, 8/10/15 and received the order Thursday, 8/13/15. I use bank wire to expedite the process, Though my bank charges for this service it is well worth it, as my payment was verified within an hour of the order. Fast delivery of a superior product and at a terrific price. What could be better. JM Bullion is now my only source for silver & other precious metals purchases.

What a joke!

I had ordered some PM from JMBullion. I set up echeck so that I would not have to worry about mailing or wiring funds. I got an email a few days later which stated "JM Bullion Order Update - ORD ******is Now Paid". This led to me believe that the order was... well... paid. I never received another email or call. I finally went on to check the status (because they are usually fairly late in shipping out by like 1-2 weeks) and it said cancelled. What? I had planned my purchase to a specific day, and they decided to cancel it.

I then reached out to support to see what happened. and this was their response:

→I logged on today to see if it has shipped and saw this.
→It looks like you never took the payment from my bank account
→But I got a email that said JM Bullion Order Update - ORD ******is Now Paid
→So I thought that ****** was... well... Paid
Katherine: We were unable to process the payment. Unfortunately our billing department does not automatically send out an email when the status is moved to cancelled. It is a feature our development team is working to implement. I apologize for the confusion.
→Well, that is convenient. Not the best customer service move

I have had "difficulties" in the past, but just plain cancelling an order on a market priced item, with no notification, and then not doing anything in the post-event customer service? I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

What happened to the great service????

I am dismayed as this was one of the best sources for our purchases. I understand they went to a new fulfillment process but this is ridiculous, I am tired of the online chat that gives absolutely no solace and when I call or email, no response. I am about ready to dispute my order, luckily a cc order. I ordered on July 28th and was advertised a 2-day shipping notice. Called on 04 AUG 15 to discover no shipping advise. Now the day I call they post a pik pak message. So I wait until 07 AUG 15 and am imformed the product will be shipping within a day. I check the website this morning, I see status shipped. I check the tracking number, still not shipped. BAD BAD NEWS.

FYI-Price not according to spot price

Yesterday, August 4ht of 2015, spot price went down again, and the silver ask price on the website was $14.57 at around 12:10pm PST . The Geiger silver bar 10 ounce was priced $167.40 when buying less than 10 bars. Today, the silver ask price on the website is $14.65, and the same Geiger 10 oz. is priced $166.60 when buying less than 10 as of 2:13pm PST on August 5th. What I am saying is do not depend on the spot price fluctuation when buying as not all but some of you buyers would do as I did. Low spot price at the time does not necessarily mean paying less.

Dear Gina: Thanks for your feedback. The premiums that we charge over spot are dictated by our cost of acquisition. While the spot price may be down the demand for precious metals is up, so the mints and distributors have raised their prices accordingly. This means we must build that into our price. We operate on razor thin margins to keep the price as low as possible, so any change in our cost of acquisition is extended to the final price we list online.

I feel JMB offers the best prices and selection of silver available anywhere. And you can't beat free shipping on any quantity you purchase. They have just added a new "On Sale Now" feature where you can purchase various weight silver coins and bars for under a dollar over spot. You can't beat it. Yes, from time to time an order may be a little slow to be delivered but you get a tracking number and you get your order. I don't have a problem with that. They are the best.

I made two separate orders one Sunday night, and one Monday morning when the 5oz bars went on sale. Got my orders today right on time and only 4 days after purchase. I do have one complaint but not with Jmbullion. The UPS info says it requires a signature, but when I got home the boxes where just laying by my door. The tracking info said it was signed by Rene, not sure who that is no rene lives here, but luckly they were an honest person and just left the boxes at my door. Overall JM bullion 2 thumbs up great company and the only place I shop, UPS 1 thumb down.

Sloppy, Lousy Service, Bad Experience

I sent a check to JM Bullion for $100 face value Walking Liberty half dollars. 17 days after they got my check, the order finally arrived, and it is FOUR HALF-DOLLARS SHORT! I called them immediately and was told that some woman supposedly in charge of shortages or whatever was "at a meeting and would email me when she got out".

Two days later I was emailed by "Erin" that my 4 missing coins will be shipped to me on Monday. If they show up, I'll revise this review to be more positive.

JMB - A Real Winner

I've been ordering from JMB since February 2015. I've ordered everything from 10oz silver bars, to Canadian Maple Leafs to Britisg Gold Sovereigns. Each and every order has gone smoothly and the product received has has been delivered in a timely manner, packed securely an fat a great price. If you're on a budget then JMB's weekly sale items are a great way to stock up at as low as $.79/oz over spot.

My most recent order included Silver Canadian Bisons (a JMB exclusive in the U.S., .9999 fine), 2oz Ultra High Relief Privateer Rounds (one of the nicest private mint rounds I've seen. These things have spectacular detail) and Monarch 50 gram hand poured silver bars (a gorgeous little bar with a great classic look and feel).

All in all JMB's website, ordering process and service has been nothing but top notch. Top it off with free shipping on all orders and some of the best prices going and you've got a real winner.

JM Bullion has quickly replaced my previous precious metal dealer. Their pricing is comparable to other dealers, and it is a pleasure to not be concerned about shipping or insurance as JM Bullion includes it for free.
The interactions I have had with their customer service have always been pleasant, and my questions were answered. They did get backed up a bit for a few days when they moved in early July, but they made it clear it would be happening before hand. I was also one of the people who got delayed, but it was my choice ... and those silver koala's and elephants are worth 3 days of delayed gratification!
A final note is that my son is now purchasing his precious metals through JM Bullion as well. I wouldn't have recommended them to him if they were anything less than great,

The hold music is great: delivery, nope

Ordered 6 days ago with cc pmt to expedite order. This is my first ever online order of new items.

I got "shipping label created" on 9th. No updates at shipper or JM website since.
Now the 14th of July, Live chat is dead during all hours.
I held for 9:42 this am, transferred to hangup.
Called back, still nice jazz station playing, but no human answer after another 10minutes on hold.
I sent an internal email to them just now off the website.
Hoping my order comes through soon, and glad I can walk it back if i need to.
Skip sending these peeps a check or cash.

I have ordered several times from JM Bullion by paper check. They offered me to start making payments via eCheck. I filed an order by eCheck and it came back saying my bank routing number for Ally Bank could not be verified. I called and a customer service rep said that she had no idea what was wrong and I had to send the paper check.

A few days later the silver market was down and I attempted to make a buy using eCheck once again at a great price. Again the order was denied because JM Bullion could not verify the routing number for Ally Bank. I called once again and was given the run around about it being my fault (even though the operator verified the numbers I read directly from the Ally Bank website and what I was typing in for payment). I was again told to send a paper check and the issue not fixed.

I send an email to JM Bullion asking when the issue could be looked into in order to start using the eCheck system they offered to me and have been ignored for the past three days.

Not a good thing to do to a journalist who loves to write reviews JM!

Now seeking an alternative silver and gold supplier as it seems JM Bullion does not care about its systems offered to customers.

Junk Coins are All Dimes - ALL of them

Ordered bags of junk silver coins which are purportedly a mix of nickels, dimes, quarters and half dollars. I received ALL dimes....every single coin was a dime....!!!. Who in their right mind (I must be demented) wants to count and verify that they received the correct amount and type of silver coins when there are literally hundreds of dimes to count. They could not even throw in a few quarters!

If you are buying bulk junk silver and want all dimes - you are at the right place. If you do not want to count thousands of dimes - shop elsewhere.

I spend a lot of time online and in coin stores shopping for precious metals and JMB simply offers better prices than anyone I have found.Occasionally, you might think another company has beaten their price, but then you find that shipping isn't free like at JM or you have to buy some astronomical quantity or the product is inferior to what JMB offers. All-in-all, the net cost per ounce that JM Bullion charges is virtually always less than anyone else. In addition, their customer service department is manned with "real" people who are caring and sincere and who aim to please. My orders are shipped quickly in accordance with their published policies and arrive in nondescript packaging on the outside but high-quality protective sleeves and canisters on the inside. I'm a serious individual investor in precious metals. Sometimes, I just buy a few dollars worth and sometimes I buy much, much more. Regardless of the quantity, you can be assured that you will get the best products for the best price from JM Bullion.

I've been ordering from JM Bullion for a year now and plan to continue. I always choose the paper check discount even though the time for the check to clear is longer than using credit. I've also recently been approved for the e-check option, so this isn't even an issue any longer. The deciding feature for me was the free shipping for all orders and also the low ($100.00) minimum purchase requirement. This is the perfect amount for those of us who don't have large amounts of cash to invest at one time. I wish I had known of this web site and JMs true ratings before I placed my first order with them....when you read reviews on their site all you see are the glowing reviews....Shipping certainly DOES NOT occur in 1 to 2 business days as stated in blue lettering...it takes weeks...my order still has not shipped and I was notified on the 20th that my account was "paid" and check cleared.....today is the 26th...
I called to possibly cancel a 2nd order but like the other review ..was told how long it would indeed take to even get my money back..so I decided to just let the order go thru and learn from my experience to look for another on line company to buy from in the future...

Double Paid and No Refund Yet!

I decided to buy my first ever silver purchase from JMBullion at the end of April.... I sent a check and kept on eye on my banking statement. The first week into May and I hadn't heard anything from JMB got me worried... so I emailed them on the 6th asking if they'd received my check... they said no... I emailed on the 7th, still no... they said either they needed another check by the 11th... being an anxious person, I sent a 2nd check on the 8th. I emailed them and said the 2nd check was on it's way...then I was notified by my bank on the 9th that my original check had been cashed on the 1st and paid in full. I called JMB and asked if they had received my second check. I was told they hadn't and that my first check hadn't been signed. I figured that there was no way my bank would process an unsigned check, but they had....so I panicked and called JMB and asked if they could make a note that the payment was complete and to either destroy or send me back my 2nd check.. They said that since they hadn't received it, that should be possible

Well, they had received it and they had already cashed it. I asked for a refund on the 11th, was told it would take 5 business days to get it... Here it is the 18th, and still no refund.... and when I called tonight, the check hasn't even been written yet!!!! So if tomorrow, they do decide to refund me, it will take another 5 business days... which puts me at the 23rd of May, just 4 days shy of a month since this whole thing started...

I am unset and frustrated...... and totally not important to anyone at JMB......

I've ordered from JMB three times now and all three orders have been problem free.
I don't think I'm a very big buyer (avg order 750 or so), but JMB has had labels printed and order out the door very quickly. Even more important than speed, my orders have been 100% correct and the items have been in great shape (BU is BU and the like).
I will continue to buy from JMB and am to the point where I'd understand a hiccup or problem when the inevitable arises.

A few things that would be great to see in the future:
1) Broader expansion of the e-check program. It looks like the current e-check program is based on people who use physical checks. I can't remember the last time I actually wrote one and currently buy with credit card. I'd switch to e-check or payment using the routing number, but it sounds like I won't get this option unless I have X successful payments with paper check

2) Allow second authorized shipping address. I pay by CC and the shipping address has to match the billing address. Totally understand the policy for the first couple of orders. However, JMB ships signature required and I still work all day, so I usually have to go in and pickup at the post office on Saturday. If there was an option to add my work address, I'd be a mighty happy camper.

3) Storage supplies. You have to be sitting on excess mint tubes. They look so much better than the air-tite tubes...which weren't designed for AGE fractionals.

The above are the silly demands though. For the important triumvirate of good pricing, order accuracy and quick turn-around, I'd recommend JMB strongly.

3) Storage supplies. You have to be sitting on excess mint tubes. They look so much better than the air-tite tubes...which weren't designed for AGE fractionals.

The above are the silly demands though. For the important triumvirate of good pricing, order accuracy and quick turn-around, I'd recommend JMB strongly.

I've purchased from JM Bullion maybe twenty to thirty times in the last couple years, and I only have good things to say about them. They are always competitive on price (which is what initially drew me to them), but they are more than just the cheapest place to buy. In fact, I don't even shop around anymore. They have earned my loyalty. If they end up being a few cents higher, it's worth it for their dependability and all round stellar practices. I will admit that I strayed in the beginning...following whatever company had the lowest price, but I found out the headache of dealing with other companies just wasn't worth the pennies I was saving (Don't get me wrong, if JM wasn't competitively priced, I would make a change. The point is, they are decently priced on everything I've bought.) I used to check every order I got meticulously to ensure it was all there and packaged correctly to avoid any damage. I don't do that anymore. JM Bullion hasn't ever had bungled my order in the least detail, and their packaging is always top notch. That's not even mentioning their free shipping!!! And finally, I love that they let me use e-checks...it all sealed the deal...JM Bullion is my company for good.

I did my homework for quite some time (about 15 years, lol) before taking the plunge and buying bullion. I shopped around a bit, and found that JM Bullion seemed to have the best prices overall, and their website is super-easy to navigate -- it's not loaded down with a lot of "filler", but chock-full of shiny, awesome bullion! I have placed several orders thus far with JM, and I have always been pleased with every part of the process, from ordering the metals to receiving the packages. You should have seen me today when I opened up my last order: 20 one-ounce silver bars from the Sunshine Mint, and a little 1/10 ounce gold eagle. I almost cut myself opening the box, I was so excited to get to the stuff packed inside (my daughter got a laugh out of THAT freak show)! EXTREMELY well packaged -- that bullion wasn't going anywhere but into my hands. I forgot to mention the free shipping -- that is a huge plus. I pay by check, and the wait time is not a big deal to me -- it's worth it to wait a few more days to get the metals, and realize some extra savings. I never would have bought that much if it was not for the best prices on the web today, and some of the best salesman in the market! I know it may not be a lot of money for some of your customers, but for a guy who only brings in 78,000 dollars a year as a salery, its not too bad! I have been happy with all my purchases, and yes, I have had a problem or two with some issues, but your sales team has always worked with me, and worked with me well enough to keep me on as a buyer no matter what the problem was...now that's good selling people!! Because i'm an a** of a person, and usually do not come back to a place that angers me, but this team is just too cool not to deal with, and again the prices are UNBEATABLE ANYWHERE!
